Adoption applications are reviewed regularly and you will hear from us within a few days regarding whether or not you are a good fit for one of our puppies.
Pay Your Deposit
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required in order to hold a puppy. Families choose their puppies in the order in which deposits are received. We do offer deposit refunds if we do not have the gender of puppy you request in your application.
Choose Your Puppy
Puppy Selection Day is always fun and can happen for you either in person or via FaceTime or Zoom. Puppy selection occurs when the puppies are six to seven weeks old. By this age, their personalities are starting to emerge, and they are able to withstand the experience of meeting and being handled by several different people in one day. We will let you know several weeks ahead of time when Puppy Selection Day is so that you can be sure to be available. We carefully schedule visits on Puppy Selection Day, leaving time between visits so that the puppies can rest and nap, which they really need to do! Families visit and choose their puppies in the order in which deposits were received. Note: Prior to Puppy Selection Day, we structurally evaluate the puppies to identify any potential breeding dogs that we may keep. We reserve the right to keep two puppies per litter for our program or for another breeder.
Once you've chosen your puppy, it's soooo hard to wait to bring them home. But a lot is happening on Hanson Hill with your puppy. Between when the puppies are seven to eight weeks of age, we begin microchipping and vaccinating, and we take them for their health checks with our veterinarian.
Take Your Puppy Home
We offer a lot of flexibility for when you pick your puppy up, so that whomever you would like to come along is able to do so! While many breeders send puppies home at eight weeks, we have found that everyone (both puppies and families) does better when the puppy is at least nine weeks old. So, while we never release a puppy prior to its 8-week birthday, we do offer the option of leaving your puppy here on Hanson Hill until it is nine weeks old for no extra charge. Puppies left after the age of nine weeks will incur a $25/day boarding fee.
Pricing
$2800 per puppy.
$400 discount if still available after six weeks.
$800 discount if still available after eight weeks.
Once your application is accepted, a $500 deposit is required immediately. This deposit is deducted from the overall price of the puppy. The deposit holds your place in line for a puppy. The deposit is refundable only if we do not have the gender of the puppy you specified on your application. The deposit can be made through Venmo.
When a litter is born and a puppy is available to you, if you do not choose a puppy because your desired gender is not available, your deposit may be transferred to another litters. Deposits are only refundable if we do not have the gender of puppy you specify on your adoption application.
Full payment is due when you pick out your puppy, typically when your puppy is six to seven weeks old.
What's Included With Your Puppy
Items and servics your puppy comes with at pickup:
- Two-year genetic health guarantee.
- Prior to picking your puppy up, you will receive an emailed DocuSign document that serves as your puppy purchase agreement and details your two-year genetic health guarantee. You will sign this digitally via DocuSign around the time of puppy selection.
- You will receive a health record from our veterinarian detailing your puppy’s comprehensive health check and clean bill of health, as well as its first set of vaccinations.
- Your puppy’s reworking will be current, and your puppy will have been dewormed three times.
- Your puppy will be microchipped from HomeAgain. You will need to register your puppy’s microchip number at HomeAgain.com.
- Your puppy will have a goodie bag that includes the following: a blanket that smells like its mama and siblings; a small baggie of kibble and familiar dog treats; travel food and water; a leash and collar; chew toys.
Breeding Rights
Our Puppies are sold as pet and companion animals only and do not come with breeding rights. Our spay and neuter contract mist be agreed to and signed along with a health guarantee. We follow up with every contract and require proof of spay/neuter with microchip identification from a certified veterinarian.
