For the health of our puppies, we do not offer visits prior to the age of about six weeks.

At the age of about six weeks, we offer Puppy Selection Day to our families that have placed a deposit. Puppy Selection Day is always such a joyful time and can happen for you either in person or via FaceTime or Zoom. By this age, the puppies’ personalities are starting to emerge, and they are able to withstand the experience of meeting and being handled by several different people in one day. We will let you know several weeks ahead of time when Puppy Selection Day is so that you can be sure to be available. We carefully schedule visits on Puppy Selection Day, leaving time between visits so that the puppies can rest and nap, which they really need to do! Families visit and choose their puppies in the order in which deposits were received.

Once you’ve chosen your puppy, it’s soooo hard to wait to bring them home. But a lot is happening on Hanson Hill with your puppy. When the puppies are seven to eight weeks of age, we begin microchipping and vaccinating, and we take them for their comprehensive health checks with our veterinarian. Then, finally, it’s time to…TAKE YOUR PUPPY HOME!!!
